Creative Connection Studio

Creative Connections Studio supports an exciting, vibrant, living, growing community of makers as well as local instructors, artists and students. Within the studio we have classes in jewelry, ceramic, glass, drawing/painting and general crafts. The studio is about the people in the community, their stories and their journeys as makers. ​Located in scenic Arvada Colorado.

Create and Sip classes are perfect way to "try on" a new technique or medium. Bring a friend and enjoy a night out creating. Complimentary beverages and light snacks included with create and sip classes. Explore more in depth workshops and classes on the weekend.

Welcome to the studio and our story!

Darlene Kuhne

A lifetime love of art, Darlene Kuhne created this studio in Arvada, CO. Always creating colorful paintings of whatever inspired her in a variety of mediums. Self described as an abstract expressionist, color field painter, she created acrylic & mixed media paintings... always changing and evolving over the years.

Darlene passed away in 2018 from complications from Alzheimers, her daughter Stephanie Kuhne carries on her legacy of loving art and creating. This studio is a positive space to be creative and connect with the love of art. Joins us to enjoy this wonderful legacy and enjoy exploring a variety of mediums to the fullest as she did.

JEWELRY BENCHES

The jewelry studio has 4 jeweler's benches for rent Monday-Friday for half-day or full-day rental unguided. All studio rental with require to be properly trained on equipment. There is access to a flexshaft, well-ventilated soldering station, metal shear, drill press, belt sander, polishing station, ring sizer, vice, mandrels, and hammers.  Basic tools are available for use.

LAMPWORKING AND GLASS FUSING STUDIO

A 2 torch bench is available for rent Monday-Friday for half-day or full-day rental.  Experienced lampworkers who have been properly trained on equipment will have access to choice of torches. Glass and tool rental available.

CERAMIC STUDIO

Open studio time is available Monday-Friday for half-day or full-day rental unguided. With
all studio rentals, there will a requirement to be properly trained on equipment. Clay available for purchase. Glaze and firing are charge per piece by weight.

DRAWING/PAINTING/CRAFT STUDIO

Open studio time is available Monday-Friday for half-day or full-day rental unguided. With
all studio rentals, there will a requirement to be properly trained on equipment. Supplies are available with an additional lab fee.
