In this class you will learn to etch metal using salt water and electricity. Basic metalsmithing skills of learning the disc cutter, dapping dies will be introduced to create your blanks (what you will design on). You will learn how to make the saline solution, how to set up your etching station and what masking you can use with each method. Student use studio tools and equipment to create blanks and to etch. Metal for blanks included, other supplies are for studio use.
