Join us to learn how to create stunning jewelry by electroforming. I will show you how to use electricity and copper solution to make unique organic looking jewelry. With this process you can "grow" metal on and around just about anything- seed pods, dried flowers, even bugs!
From examples shown, you will start designing your form. Once created, a copper paint is applied and then placed into a bath that conducts electricity and will plate your form with copper. The form will remain in the bath 1-2 days, until there is a thick plating that adds strength and an organic look. Pick up 1 week later- Limit 4 per person
Follow up optional finishing class one week later: 1 hour, includes polishing medium, use of tools, patina. Findings, necklaces available for purchase separately.
